This is a proposed presentation to what I wish it was part of my contribution to the life of my people, my social environment and all that in some way involved in these moments of my inner need of expression.
There is a line of thought related to pluralism, free from partisan and authoritarian ideologies, free of fanaticism, and above all things free of interest. Thoughts that go beyond what is ecumenical, that encourage a culture of respect and dialogue on all Such barriers, races and creeds, thoughts related to universality. A universality that has nothing to do with globalization, based on individual development dismissing any conduct that promotes individualism. So
presented seem very difficult to understand, but reading the premises from the findings of contemporary genius, the vision includes almost simple deduction.

SIMPLE LIFE
P hink thousand times a day my outer and inner life is based on the work of other men, living or dead. I feel that I must strive to give the same measure as I have received and am still receiving. I am inclined to sobriety, often oppressed by the need to print the work of others. Well, I do not think that class differences can be justified, ultimately rest on force. And I think a life modest and unassuming exterior is good for all body and soul.
FREEDOM AND SENSE OF HUMOR
N or believe in absolute freedom of man in a philosophical sense. We operate under external pressures and domestic needs. Schopenhauer's phrase : "A man can do what he wants, but can not will what he wants" , was enough for me since my youth. He has served as a consolation to see how much suffering the hardships of life, and has been for me an inexhaustible source of tolerance. Has relieved the sense of responsibility that so often can become a hindrance, and helped me not to take too seriously, or myself or others. So So look at life with humor.
GOODNESS, BEAUTY AND TRUTH
N or sense to worry about the meaning of existence or self-employed from an objective viewpoint. It is true that every man has ideals that guide you. For that matter, I never believed that the satisfaction or happiness be absolute ends. It is an ethical principle I like to call the ideal of the herd.
L ideals I lit up and filled my life has always are: kindness, beauty and truth. The life I have seemed empty without the feeling of participating in the opinions of many, not always unattainable goals focus on both art as in scientific research. The goals trivial property, outward success and luxury seemed negligible since youth.
PASSION FOR SOCIAL JUSTICE AND THE SOLITUDE
H ay a contradiction between my passion for social justice, for the achievement of social commitment, and my complete lack of need for companionship, men or human communities. I'm a real loner. Never belonged entirely to the State, the Fatherland, the circle of friends and family even closer. If I was always foreign to these circles is because the need for solitude has been growing with years.
DEMOCRACY, STATE AND IDOLATRY
M i political ideal is democracy. The individual must be respected as a person. No one should receive an idolatrous cult. (It always seemed an irony of fate to have aroused so much admiration and respect undeserved. I understand that arise from the desire to understand the two concepts that I found with my little strength, after incessant work. But it is a concern that many may not filled.)
s é, of course, that to achieve any objective need someone to think and to have: an official. But is there anyway to find a way not to impose leaders. Should be chosen. So I was always against systems such as those that prevail today in Italy and Russia. I think the solution lies in what became the United States: a president elected for long enough, and with the powers necessary to assume full responsibility. I appreciate, however, our conception of the functioning of a state, increased protection of the individual in case of illness or physical needs.
P To speak properly, the state can not be as important, it is the individual operator, sensible: personality. Only he leaves the building noble, sublime. The mass is indifferent to the thought and feeling.
WAR AND PRESS
C on this way to talk about the worst monster that has left the spirit of the masses: the army, I hate. How I hate the deeds of their leaders, acts of senseless violence and the bloody patriotism. How cynical, how despicable I find the war! Before you cut me to pieces than take part in an act so vile!
In spite of which I have so good opinion of mankind, I believe that this phantom had vanished long ago if not for the systematic corruption which is under the correct sense of the people through the school and the press, through the work of people and economic and political institutions involved in the war.
RELIGION AND THE ETERNITY OF LIFE
E l mystery is the most beautiful thing is because we feel. Is the fundamental sense, the cradle of art and true science. Who does not know, who can not marvel or wonder, is dead. His eyes are now extinct.
E sta experience of mystery-even if mixed with fear, has also created religion. But the true religion Existence is knowing that impenetrable to us, knowing that there are manifestations of the profoundest reason and the most radiant beauty affordable only in its most elemental to the intellect.
E n this regard, and only this, I belong to the deeply religious men. A God who rewards and punishes beings created by him, which, in other words, has a will like ours, it's impossible to imagine. Nor do I want and I can not believe that the individual survives his physical death, that weak souls feed those thoughts of fear, or a ridiculous egotism.
A enough for me the mystery of the eternity of life, with the present and building awareness of the existing prodigious, with the honest desire to understand even the smallest part of the reason we can discern in the work of Nature.
